  • Khairun Nisa - 24 years old - Co-Founder of Malaysia Youth Climate Justice Network (MyCJN)

    An activist for sustainable development and environmental protection since the age of 8, Khairun has been invited to the United Nations Climate Change negotiations, recognized as the British Council Climate Champion, is the recipient of the Malaysian Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Award, KLuE's Blue Chili Award 2009 and the CLEO's Young Achiever of 2010. She will be discussing the environment in the Youth Activism - Youths for Change! Panel, hosted by Michael Teoh.

    Facing the grueling SPM exams this year did not stop Ginger from co-founding a youth development company with her partner, Jazz Tan and subsequently creating one of the biggest youth community groups in Penang. Her group, 'Penang Youths' spearheaded by her company - Jazzada Solutions currently holds close to 5,000 members online, and have since organized the biggest Youth Merdeka Carnival, Youth Jam, attracting 10,000 Penang youths.
